Written by Pettina Marvida

UP SIBOL, together with PAG-IBIG fund, will launch the first ever EYM (Empowered Youth for the Marginalized), a conference about community service and youth volunteerism on June 12, 2017. The event is free of charge and is open to students from junior high school to college level. This will be held at the NCAS Auditorium of the University of the Philippines Los Baños. It will feature Mr. Mark David Cerezo, the RUBBERMAN of Marikina City, as one of the speakers for the event.

With the theme “Limitless: Going Beyond what Youth Can,” the conference will offer the participants a chance to know how youth leadership at community service and volunteerism level can make an impact to the world. The participants would also get to interact with other students who have the same passion and could learn from each other’s experiences.

Registration will start at 7 am followed by the lectures, performances, and various activities prepared for the participants, and will end with a pledge and alliance-building. The first 25 participants to register will also get free shirts of the event.
