As a way of giving tribute the country’s heritage, the premiere photography organization of UP Los Bañoswill launch a photography exhibition titled “Salinlahi: An Exhibit” which will be displayed at the SiningMakiling Gallery, DL Umali Auditorium at UPLB on November 7 – 18, 2016.
The UP Photographers’ Society(UP PhotoS) will showcase 50 photographs taken by student photographers of UPLB who produced their own visual interpretations of the central theme, salinlahior generation through taking photosof different photography genres.
Salinlahiaims to promote the works produced by young photographers through the appreciation of the country’s legacies as well as the art of photography.
The exhibit will be open to everyone who wishes to witness the photographs to be displayed for two weeks. The opening ceremony will be held on November 7, 1 PM at SiningMakiling Gallery where some Filipino foods will also be served. On the other hand, there will be a second exhibition of Salinlahi next year where it will revolve around Laguna and Metro Manila.
This event is in partnership with Toyota Philippines, Photoline, Rappler, WhenInManila.com, and ClickTheCity. The minor sponsors include Surprises Out of Boxes and Sitsirya.
UP PhotoS is the premiere photography organization of UP Los Baños composed of student nthusiasts of photography. One of the major events of the organization is holding photography exhibits every semester, such as this semester’s Salinlahi. Some of its minor events are photography seminars and workshops and photowalks. The organization also accepts client shoots of any event as well as seminars in different locations.
