The University of the Philippines Mathematics Club (UPMC) will be hosting “The 40th Annual Freshman Math Quiz,” a Mathematics competition for college freshmen and senior high school students.
The event will be held on September 16, 2017 at the University of the Philippines Diliman (Institute of Mathematics for the elimination round, and Palma Hall for the final round).
The competition will include questions in algebra, statistics, geometry, logic, number theory, and trigonometry.
Aside from honor and prestige, cash prizes also await the winners of this highly competitive event – P5000 for the champion, P3000 for the 2nd placer, P1000 for the 3rd placer, and P500 for the 4th, 5th, and 6th placers.
Through the Annual Freshman Math Quiz, the UP Mathematics Club aims to provide a venue for college freshmen and senior high school students to use their knowledge and skills in Mathematics while promoting an atmosphere of healthy competition among participants.
