LIRIKA is back with “Going Live.” This is an anniversary gig where the organization provides an avenue for their members to perform their original songs and some covers. Now on its fourth year, “Going Live” is going to show the rawness and imperfections of the organization. With this, the organization encourages others to be unapologetic and true to themselves as well, no matter the flaw, no matter the imperfection.
Continuing the tradition of showcasing their talents every year and giving back to the community, UP LIRIKA has chosen Save Our Schools as the beneficiary of this event. Save Our Schools is a network that fights for the rights of children to education, particularly in the context of militarization and attack on schools. Part of the proceeds will be given to the chosen organization for our brothers and sisters in Bakwit Schools.
UP Likha sa Ramdam at Isip ng Kabataan (UP LIRIKA) is a special interest organization based in the University of the Philippines Diliman. The organization believes that the art of singing-songwriting freely expresses the creative and artistic minds of the youth. Our organization’s main advocacy is geared towards empowering people through music by voicing out one’s perspective, emotions, and ideology in the society. Guided by the values of ingenuity, rhapsody, and community, the organization aims to provide an avenue for singers, songwriters, and enthusiasts to showcase their talent and to keep the passion for music alive.
