The event is an annual library building and rehabilitation project wherein the organization donates library essentials like books and bookshelves in order to provide the students with conducive reading and studying spaces. With this year’s theme, “Kritikal sa Pagbabasa at Pananaliksik: Susi sa Mapagpalaya at Responsableng Impormasyon”, Pambatang Buklatan 2018, co-presented by Tang Philippines and Sterling Paper Products Ent., Inc., catered to 3 elementary schools, Dr. Manuel Ramirez Elementary School, San Pedro Elementary School and the main beneficiary, Bulacan Heights Elementary School. Each school was also given reading and reference materials, school supplies, and donated books, from various partner organizations, institutions, and sponsors.

Aside from giving and delivering books, the organization also held a mini-program with a skit and fun-filled games.

With these, UP LAKAN continues to work hard in order to preserve and sustain the project’s vision of providing every child in Bulacan with access to quality education and empowering them through literacy.
