Tagisan is an annual gathering of the brightest junior and senior high school students from Quezon and Aurora. Here, participants are challenged to expand the scope and depth of their knowledge, skills, and abilities through different contest categories and venues for critical discourse. Beyond its competitive aspect, Tagisan also serves as a conducive learning environment where positive peer culture, collaborative development, and cultural pride and passion are nurtured among the provinces’ local youth.

This year’s Tagisan aims to forward the right of the Filipino to agricultural, labor, fishing, food, and land policies that are appropriate to their unique circumstances, and advance the role of the Filipino youth, through raising consciousness and immersing them in the struggles of the Filipino farmers; to their grassroots stories, and from there, move together towards one collective goal: to call for agricultural sovereignty.
