February has come and all basketball fans alike probably know what that means. It’s the month of the all-star weekend! But why stay at home just to watch one when you can come to UPLB to participate in one.
Get ready to ignite the fire as the UP Junior Executive Society (JES) launches On Fire 2019. This annual sports event to be held on February 13, aims to develop the youth’s sportsmanship and harness their skills and interest in our country’s number one sport: Basketball.
This event will be held in the Baker Hall inside the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Laguna.
The expected participants are high school and college students from Los Baños who not only want to showcase their athletic talents and skills, but also want to have a good time.
The proceeds from On Fire 2019 will be utilized for the children in Barangay Mayondon, Los Baños, Laguna.
A one-day sports clinic and a mini sports tournament will be held. Through this, the organization is able to give back to the community in a way that both the participants and beneficiaries will enjoy.
