In the UP IE Club, there’s a place for everyone.
The University of the Philippines Industrial Engineering Club (UP IE Club) has once again opened applications for new members, and this year’s application theme takes on a bold declaration: “The Seat is Yours.” Whether you’re a wide-eyed freshman or a seasoned senior, you have the chance to claim your space, shape your story, and lead with intention—the IE way!
The application period kicks off with the 25A Applicants’ Orientation on September 11, 2025, 6 PM at the P&G Room, 5F, Melchor Hall, UP Diliman. Interested students are encouraged to answer the RSVP form.
This year, the spotlight is on you. UP IE Club’s 57-year legacy isn’t just built on tradition; it’s powered by a mindset of continuous improvement. Over the years, the Club has been a strong advocate of the IE way—transforming ideas into impact using systems thinking, analysis, and project management. Every project is a chance to refine, rethink, and reimagine solutions, not just for the organization, but for the communities it serves.
This approach has positioned UP IE Club as a pioneer in community development, earning two Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) awards for its flagship initiatives—IEAid and UPCAMP.

IEAid, recognized in 2017, is the organization’s consulting arm dedicated to helping charitable institutions by optimizing their internal systems and processes. Trusted partners include the Philippine Red Cross, the Office of the Vice President (under Former Vice President Leni Robredo), Super Tsuper, CARE PH, and Angat Taytay (an Angat Buhay branch).

UPCAMP (UP College Admissions Mastery Program), awarded in 2003, is a free college entrance exam review program for public senior high school students in Quezon City, empowering more than 300 aspirants annually.
The organization was recently nominated for Parangal sa Samahang Mag-aaral 2024. It is also widely known for its competitive spirit and camaraderie, having dominated Engineering Week with 32 out of 36 championship titles. The Club has also received the Engineering Organization Excellence Award in 2007, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2018, and was recognized in the Shell Young Leaders Program in 2020.
As Iskolars ng Bayan, the UP IE Club takes pride in projects that benefit both the nation and the UP community. Initiatives such as Tulong Eskwela (providing educational development to chosen beneficiaries) and UPLIFT (empowering UP College of Engineering staff through sustainable projects) reflect the Club’s advocacy for learning and service.
Their impact extends further through IEx, the Industrial Engineering Expo, a national convention that connects high school students, undergraduates, and professionals to explore the diverse applications of industrial engineering. Their brand, GET UP, is a campus staple with iconic dri-fit shirts, while their latest fundraiser, Run as One, rallied over 600 participants to support Tulong Eskwela and local learning centers.
This year’s theme, #TheSeatIsYours, is a testament to the Club’s belief that leadership isn’t handed down but claimed with purpose. It affirms that every member, regardless of background or batch, has the power to shape systems, spark change, and steer the narrative.
Whether you’re entering a committee, launching a flagship event, or simply finding your voice, this theme reminds you: the seat isn’t reserved—it’s waiting for you to own it.
