The UP Diliman Ultimate Organization (UP DUO) is a duly recognized non-profit student organization at the University of the Philippines Diliman dedicated to Ultimate Frisbee. Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact, self-refereed team sport that relies on the Spirit of the Game, which holds each player to the conduct of fair play, and is played with a flying disc frisbee. In the Philippines, the Ultimate Frisbee community continues to grow as more opportunities to participate arise across the country, introducing the sport to many.
As part of UP DUO’s contribution to fostering the sport’s growth beyond the university’s borders, the organization commits to holding annual tournaments for players and enthusiasts of the game. One of these tournaments is APOLLO XII: Origins, which will be held at Greenfields in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on December 7-8, 2024. The tournament will be open to family, friends, and curious spectators to watch and cheer on the teams they choose to support!
APOLLO XII: Origins marks the twelfth installment of the APOLLO tournaments, which are conceptualized and organized by UP DUO with a no-substitution gimmick. This year’s APOLLO XII: Origins also coincides with the organization’s fifteenth anniversary, as it was first established in 2009.
