You don’t have to choose ChatGPT for everything. Selecting the appropriate AI tool is crucial for success. When deciding on an AI tool for your business, consider your specific goals, strategy, and budget. 

For instance, I switched to ChatGPT for content creation in 2021 and later upgraded to ChatGPT Plus for $20 per month. Before that, I used Jasper, which cost $120 monthly.  This decision was based on my frequent use of the tool in my day-to-day work as a content creator and marketing project manager. You can find an AI tool that best meets your needs by considering your unique requirements carefully. 

There are tons of AI tools out there beyond ChatGPT. Even existing tools you use, like Grammarly and Notion, now have AI functionalities. 

Tip 3: Embrace AI as a Complementary Tool, Not a Replacement

A lot of people are worried that AI will replace human jobs. But the truth is AI still needs a lot of human input. 

In my experience as a content creator, AI can help with tasks such as research and outlining. At the same time, I maintain control over the final structure, title, and examples included in my content. By striking the right balance, AI is a valuable ally supporting my work without replacing my expertise and creativity.

As a marketing project manager, I empower my team with AI tools, so manual tasks like data entry are much faster. They can then focus on high-level tasks. 

Tip 4: Master the Art of Prompting 

To ensure the accuracy and naturalness of AI-generated content, it’s essential to practice providing clear and specific prompts. I’ve learned that structuring and ordering the prompts I give the AI tool is key to obtaining relevant and high-quality output. 

For example, instead of asking for a general blog post about productivity, request one targeting a particular audience or topic with a specified tone and style, such as “write a blog post about productivity for solopreneurs in an educational and friendly tone.” 

I always tell people that using AI is a skill. There is a learning curve, especially in figuring out which prompts work for your use case. But once you get it, the possibilities are endless! 

Tip 5: Use AI for Inspiration and Overcoming Writer’s Block

One of the most significant benefits of AI is its ability to help us overcome the dreaded blank page syndrome. I often face pressure to produce a steady content stream as a content creator. 

AI tools have proven invaluable in providing inspiration and speeding up my workflow when needed. Most times, I actually spend time worrying about not knowing what to write. But with tools like ChatGPT, I never have to worry. Every time I get stuck, I can ask for help. By leveraging AI-generated ideas and insights, I can easily create content even when I feel stuck.
