Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, onstage ballet competitions have been canceled in order to protect the ballerinas and the audience. But this didn’t stop ballet enthusiasts from holding one online! The Stars of Canaan Dance Ballet Competition decided to have their young ballerinas (aged 9-10) compete online instead. it’s a prestigious international ballet competition that only showcases the best of the best.
Among the hundreds of international competitors, two young Filipina ballerinas were able to take their places in the finals, namely Sophia Lucito and Herbie Bobier. We couldn’t be more proud of their talent and passion! Kudos to these girls!
