Twihards: Stephenie Meyer is Working on Two More “Twilight” Books!

Twilight Bella Edward

Now is a good time for Twihards or Twilight fans across the world. After the success of Midnight Sun, Stephenie Meyer is set to work on two more novels set in the Twilight world.

At the Books-A-Million’s virtual live event, the author said, “There are two more books I think in the world that I want to write. I have got them outlined and a chapter written I think of the first one, so I know it’s there.”

However, she said that wants to do something a little different. She added, “For me, a lot of the joy of writing comes from creating and I really want to do a new world and new rules and new mythology. Mythology is kind of my thing.”

Midnight Sun, which was released earlier this month, is a retelling of Twilight except from the perspective of the vampire Edward Cullen. The novel has been announced since 2008, when the author abandoned the manuscript after 12 chapters were leaked online. After it was published on August 4, it has sold more than a million copies.

There’s no word what the two upcoming novels will be about, but Meyer has made it clear that it won’t be like Midnight Sun where it will be told from Cullen’s perspective. She told the New York Times, “This is it for Edward. Writing from his point of view makes me extra anxious. And the experience of writing this book was not a super pleasant one.”

There’s also no word when it will be released.
