Kawasan Falls is located in Badian, Cebu. It is west of the island of Cebu. It is also the end point of the “Canyoneering adventure”

There are many falls in Kawasan. The biggest one is the most crowded. There are 2 other falls. They are simply called “second” and “third.”  You may hike up to those other falls. It will take you around 10 minutes to reach the other falls. The way going there is spectacular. The environment is really beautiful.

If you have rubber shoes or shoes for trekking, use that. The pathway is a little bit slippery because of the wet soil.

Cottages (1,500 to 2,500 php) and tables (500php) are also available for rent, the rooms are for overnight stay. You can rent a raft (300 php) to take you around the “pool” or for a refreshing “shower massage” under the falling water. Life vests are also available for rent.

When In Manila Tip: Note that these photos are from off peak seasons. Usually it is very crowded here. Also, it was so difficult to swim in fresh water. I couldn’t float! Life vests are for rent for only Php 50.00. We suggest to use a life vest while swimming around because you will get tired from trying to float!

7. Sardine Island

Sardine island is in Moalboal, Cebu. Moalboal is west in the island of Cebu which is around 2-3 hours away from the city. When you get to Moalboal you may choose from a variety of inns. They are all relatively cheap and very clean!

From there you may rent a small boat to take you around the area. You may go to Pescador island, turtle bay and more. (They are on the list if you keep reading) If you choose to go to see the sardines only you don’t need a boat for that because it’s so close to the bay!

Here’s a video of the beautiful sardines! They were so many of them! It was so interesting to watch!

When In Manila Tip: There are really small jelly fishes without stings around the area. They won’t sting you nor cause harm but they are a bit itchy so wear rash guards if you want to swim on the surface and not dive.
