The Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies – Transportation Science Society of the Philippines – Mapúa Student Chapter (EASTS – TSSP – MSC) will be holding its annual transportation summit, denominated as TransMIT2017, on March 2-4 and is inviting both tertiary-level students and professionals from across the country who have inclination and particular interest in transportation studies to attend. The event will take place at Mapua Institute of Technology in Intramuros, Manila.
Dubbed as one of the largest conferences for transportation enthusiasts in the country, TransMIT2017 will not disappoint with a commendable line-up of speakers who will preside over the seminars included in the three-day event. Among the bevy of lecturers that are expected to attend the congregation and hold talks are Dr. Alexis Fillone, President of TSSP National, Dir. Ma. Josefina J. Faulan of MMDA, Deo Leo Manalo, MRT3’s OIC, and many more eminent figures in the field. This year’s keynote speaker is Senator Grace Poe, current chairperson of Senate Committee on Public Services and a forefront figure in tackling the country’s traffic crisis.
Aside from the seminars, TransMIT2017 will also host a handful of contests where attendees may also participate and ones that will indubitably make Mapúa Intramuros a battleground of the brightest and the sharpest minds as they fight head-to-head in activities such as TransWHIZ, TransMIT Debate, and Student Paper Presentation. Victors of these events will not be only receiving mementos to recognize their triumph but will also take home generous cash prizes.
