Transform Industries Towards Sustainability and Green Engineering at STIES XI

This year, it is the future Industrial Engineers’ turn to wear the mantle for reaffirming that this planet that we live on needs saving. On its 11th year, the Southern Tagalog Industrial Engineering Seminar (STIES) brings you: “CULTIVATE: Transforming Industries Towards Sustainability and Green Engineering”

Presented by the UPLB Industrial Engineering Students’ Organization (UPLB IESO) in cooperation with the UPLB Department of Industrial Engineering (IED), STIES is an annual, one- day event curated to provide learning discussions from esteemed speakers to at least a thousand students to help them tap their limitless potential and expand their knowledge base. Fun activities are also lined up to induce camaraderie and enjoy friendly competition. One of the most awaited questions that needed answering during this event is who will be crowned the next Mr. and Ms. STIES 2019.

Schools all over CALABARZON have participated in the seminar. Producing at least 1,200 participants from over 20 state colleges and universities. Industrial Engineering students from the following schools are to gather on this annual occasion.

The minds that will head STIES XI all hail from UPLB IESO. They are namely: Mile Grace C. Hallarces for Program Committee, Jullianne Mari Ellinore L. Rodelas for Secretariat Committee, Justine C. Batusan for Marketing Committee, Nelson A. Lleno Jr. for Logistics Committee, and John Michael Nickole E. Samson for Finance Committee.

The event will be held this coming September 21 and October 12 at the D.L. Umali Hall, University of the Philippines Los Baños from 8 AM to 5 PM.
