Traffic Enforcer Badly Beaten by Jeepney Driver

Jeepneys are one of the country’s symbols and trademarks, unfortunately due to lack of discipline amongst drivers, the jeepney becomes more of a nuisance to those driving along side it daily. We’ve all seen how jeepneys sometimes pull over in the middle of the road, completely neglecting the cars behind them. Many times, traffic enforcers would just ignore them for whatever reason they might have. In the case of traffic enforcer Isabelo Rodavio however, deciding to call one jeepney driver’s attention ended up in an unexpected turn.

Just yesterday, Toffee L. shared a video of Mr. Rodavio being beaten up by a jeepney driver after the enforcer allegedly asked the driver to pull over. Read Toffee’s story below.

“On or about 1500H today, October 13, 2015. A Traffic Ranger Isabelo Rodavia was assaulted by a PUJ Driver with a Registration Plate Number TWX 106 at QMR-East Avenue.

Video courtesy by: Jerson Guerrero, a concerned citizen.

Commonwealth cor.

Rough English Translation:

Commonwealth cor. Quezon Memorial Rotunda (QC Circle), Isabelo Rodavio (Traffic Enforcer) called the attention of the driver driver of the jeep with plate number TWX106 because he was blocking the road while waiting for more passengers. The driver drove away quickly to escape the traffic enforcer but Sir Rodavio no longer pursued him. When Sir Rodavio went around QMR-East Ave., He had no idea that the jeepney driver was already behind him. When he got off his motorbike, the jeepney driver quickly shoved him and started beating him up.

According to a few comments, the traffic enforcer in the video is a very kind man who does not take bribes. If this is the case, we’re not really sure how things went south.
