Toyo Fest 2015: The Comeback

The day went on with car clubs relaxing and enjoying the better part of their Satuday afternoon with friends, family, food, and cars. Having said that, I decided to walk around and see if there was anything interesting to shoot at.

A small portion beside the stage housed Takumi’s monster “Hachiroku” along with its modern, younger brother, a GT86.

By this time, it was already about 4pm and people were still hanging around. Since I had a personal soft spot for anything that came out in the nineties, I couldn’t help but snap a few shots of some neatly laid out Corollas and Hiluxes.

This Hilux caught my eye since it reminded me so much of the truck Clarkson and May took to the North Pole that one time on Top Gear with its ballooning over fenders and chunky tires.

More trucks were piled up behind the stage. Some had really agressive custom prerunner style bars that made other steel bars look subtle.

This T100 was a refreshing sight since it was something that isn’t seen very often.

Speaking of refreshing, a few things come close to a tastefully done LC80.

A handful of FJ Cruisers were also at the event. One even had a fresh dirt shower look going on.
