Tony Labrusca made waves across the Filipino nation for his steamy role opposite Angel Aquino in Glorious, but the actor shares that it would be the last time he’ll be starring in a sexy movie.

In a media press conference for his newest teleserye (soap opera) Sino ang May Sala? Mea Culpa, which will be taking over the timeslot of recently concluded soap Halik, Labrusca said that his role is now “wholesome.”
“I’ve toned down the sexiness — that has been my image in a lot of my past projects,” he said. “Pati ako nandidiri na sa mga pagkakataong palagi akong shirtless (Even I get disgusted when I’m always shirtless). I’m happy that I get to try different things.”
However, this doesn’t mean that he won’t be doing scenes with “skin exposure.” He explained, “If it’s done with taste and will help the project, why not? Pero huwag naman basta-basta naghuhubad lang (But please no stripping just for the sake of it).”
Labrusca also expressed his excitement for his new teleserye project that will finally be airing this end of April. “It’s my first time to play lead in a primetime program. We have been working on this since November, after I made Glorious. I’m glad that people will finally see the fruits of our hard work.”
