Toni Gonzaga-Soriano just stepped down as the main host of “Pinoy Big Brother” or PBB. In a statement posted on her Instagram account, the actress who is known for her role as Teddie Salazar in “Four Sisters and a Wedding” wrote:
Today, I’m stepping down as your main host. I know Bianca and the rest of the hosts will continue the PBB legacy. It has been my privilege to greet you all with “Hello Philippines” and “Hello World” for the last 16 years.

Toni says that witnessing participants transition to fellow hosts were some of her best moments on the Philippine reality show.
Witnessing all my co-hosts transition from housemates to PBB hosts are just some of the best moments in my life sa bahay ni Kuya!
She also wrote, “I will forever cherish the memories, big nights, and moments in my heart. Thank you, Kuya, for everything.”
“This is your angel now signing off,” she concluded.

According to the program’s official social media accounts, its management respects the former host’s decision. They wrote:
We respect the decision of Toni Gonzaga-Soriano to step down as [the] main host of “Pinoy Big Brother”.
Toni has been part of our reality show for 16 years and we thank her for helping bring the stories of our housemates to our viewers.

Both parties did not mention why Toni Gonzaga-Soriano left PBB.

The Kapamilya star recently hosted the proclamation rally of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas. The national political party is led by presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

She also recently starred in “The Exorsis“, a horror-comedy film with sister Alex Gonzaga. The 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry was directed by Fifth Solomon and co-produced by Viva Films and TinCan Productions.
