Following his proposal to Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez has been looking forward to sharing his video to fans of how he made the diamond ring himself. Unfortunately, it seems that he has changed his mind after what he found circulating online.

Footage of how he made the ring had apparently been leaked prior to his upload and without his permission. He expressed his disappointment about this on his Instagram stories and said that he has thus decided not to push through with his upload.
“I was supposed to release my ring making video on YouTube today… But since someone already beat me to it and it’s already all over YouTube and Instagram, I’ve decided to just keep the video for myself instead, and just savor and treasure the memories,” he wrote.
According to an interview with GMA Network, Tom revealed that he had a hand at creating the engagement ring, which consisted of a huge diamond and 12 smaller diamonds symbolizing Carla’s birthdate, which is June 12.
“We weighed pa (even) the gold, we melted it and beat it to its shape hanggang sa ma-align (until it was aligned). I shaped it to the ring form hanggang sa (up until the point of) sizing it, polishing it, so it was quite an experience!” he gushed.
It was last March 2021 when the couple finally revealed their engagement which had been kept secret since October 2020. They have been together for over six years.
