In heartbreaking news, Today x Future announced that they are closing.
The restaurant and bar announced the news on Instagram, saying, “Today x Future is closing. After long days and nights of deliberation, wrestling options, and way too much alcohol to cushion the emotion, we are left with the decision to say farewell.”

It added, “We would have turned 12 years old but alas, the uncertainty has made it incredibly difficult. However, this isn’t a statement about sorrow and regrets and wishing things would have been different. This is a love letter — a love letter to all of you who have kept our Future shining bright for over a decade.”
Future noted that Futur:st, the sibling bar in Poblacion, Makati, will remain open “as long as we can keep it that way. In the coming weeks, we will be announcing plans to welcome you back there in another shape and form, and we hope you can continue to support us and make it your second home.”
They won’t be able to throw a physical farewell party, but they will have an online one. According to the Instagram post, “We are throwing one last hurrah on June 27, with our online Pride celebration.”
More details will be announced in the coming days.
