Here’s something we just learned about two of our favorite social media stars, Bretman Rock and Bella Poarch: apparently, they’re not only Filipino by blood and great friends but they’re also related to each other!
In a Youtube vlog posted on Bretman’s channel last Friday, June 18, the beauty guru prompted the question about how he met the Tiktok star.
“I feel like the audience wants to know. Nobody asked. But how did we meet?” he asked Bella. Answering the question himself, he revealed, “We met when we were kids. We’re actually cousins, you guys!”
“We met all the way back in Pangasinan where she’s from. She’s Ilocano as well,” he added.
Bella then admitted that she speaks Tagalog more than Ilokano and that she knows “a little bit of Pangalatok.” However, she often mixes up Ilokano and Pangasinense languages because her mom is “a little bilingual.”

Bretman, born and raised in the Philippines before moving to Hawaii, rose to fame doing makeup tutorials and filming funny videos on Youtube. He now has 8 million subscribers on the video streaming platform, has launched multiple makeup collections, and recently starred in his own reality show for MTV.
Meanwhile, Bella became an internet personality just two years ago for her lip-syncing Tiktok videos and is now one of the most famous Tiktokers in the world. Her video, titled “M to the B,” is currently the most viewed Tiktok ever with 50 million likes. Her song “Build a B*tch” also topped music charts and garnered a whopping 187 million views for its music video that featured Bretman Rock along with another Filipino-American, gamer Valkyrae, and other famous social media celebrities.
