It was recently announced that Jamie Foxx would be returning as Electro in ‘Spider-Man 3’, while Benedict Cumberbatch would be appearing as Doctor Strange. Well, more news has made it onto the grapevine.
Rumors had been circulating that Sony and Marvel had plans of opening the Spider-Verse in the third installment of the new Spider-Man series starring Tom Holland in the lead role, and FandomWire (who usually offer a hit or miss in terms of rumors like this) has recently reported some big news.
According to them, sources have confirmed that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, who have both played the lead role in previous Spider-Man movies, have signed on to reprise their respective roles alongside Tom Holland’s current version.
FandomWire also claims that there will be a lot of villains in the film, including Kraven the Hunter and Green Goblin.
Marvel has not confirmed any of these rumors yet, and it sounds too good to be true, to be honest. With Michael Keaton having signed on to reprise his role as Batman in ‘The Flash’, though, it isn’t impossible. Fingers crossed!
