This theme park in Japan is redefining the meaning of work from anywhere.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led Yomiuriland, an amusement park in Tokyo, to transform its spaces to cater to teleworkers.
On Thursday, it launched an “amusement workation” package to include a working booth next to its pool, and a ride on its observation Ferris wheel with a portable WiFi router.

“I love working outside. This is a good plan, and it feels great,” said Tatsuki Yamamoto in an interview with Reuters.
The 47-year-old president of na IT solutions firm FLEQ said that his employees are also working remotely.
Many workers in Japan and all over the world have resorted to remote work as COVID-19 spread and governments imposed strict restrictions to contain it.
The amusement workation day pass at Yomiuriland theme park costs 1,900 yen ($18.05) per person on weekdays and 2,000 yen for weekends and holidays. The entry includes access to a workspace rental by the poolside, a ride on the giant Ferris wheel, and after-work free golf balls at a driving range inside the park.
