This Production is Bringing Pinoy Classical Music to the Indie Music Scene

You usually go to the country’s finest halls and theaters to listen to the music of Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, and Beethoven. Salinmusika, a production that launched just recently brings classical music closer to the independent art scene in the city! This project aims to produce performances that will feature collaborations between outstanding young classical musicians and the best roster of independent artists in the Philippines.

During Salinmusika’s first production, we witnessed Keiko Necesario together with Pauline Arejola (soprano), RJ Balledos (guitarist), Joem Hernandez (cellist), and John Owen Castro (flutist of Munimuni) give life to the work of the National Artist for Music Lucio San Pedro, ‘Ugoy ng Duyan’. The artists arranged songs of Keiko Necesario in a classical music style. They also made an interesting rendition to ‘Tahanan’ by Munimuni. Jarlo Base and Sabu also performed with their solo sets. It has been made possible with the help of Jess & Pat’s.
