This nurse delivered a homeless woman’s baby on the side of the street

Along Osmeña highway, an off-duty nurse stopped to help a pregnant homeless woman as she went into labor. This nurse was just walking by coincidentally when the woman went into labor and she stopped to help out, using the materials already there. The mother lay back on a piece of cardboard as she gave birth and the nurse delivered the baby, cut the umbilical cord, and wiped the newborn clean.

In the video and in the photos, the nurse is clearly seen wearing proper gear to also lessen contact while still working effectively. Our medical frontliners are truly heroes–even when they’re not on duty, they’re saving lives and bringing new ones into the world! Salute to our frontliners, they’re really something else.
