One of the newer faces in Philippine politics, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto is really a force to reckon with.
With his fresher take on how to run his City and his new ways of doing things, Mayor Vico is on a roll. In a post on his Facebook page, Mayor Vico Sotto claims that they have saved 15O Million Pesos because of the change in the Public Bidding for the city’s goods and services. Since the public bidding for the city needs is open, the city has more options.
He says that he instructed that all Approved Budget of Contracts should be reduced at a minimum of 10%. The public bidding is also “truly open” which is also on Facebook Live for transparency. This results to more bidder or higher competition so the prices are also competitively low, giving the best value for money for the City.
