When thinking about group outings, luxury usually isn’t in the equation. It’s almost always about efficiency, maximizing spaces, and practicality. But if you’re looking for a spacious vacation villa that offers both luxury and comfort, you might want to start planning your next group trip to Bataan.
Nestled just a few meters away from a quiet beach in Morong, Bataan is Landrina Escape, a newly-opened 1,700-sqm luxury vacation villa fit for a relaxing out-of-town vacation.
Just a 3-hour drive from Manila, Landrina’s secluded location boasts of a quietness and tranquility that is quite difficult to find in the usual weekend getaways. When I say tranquil, I mean that there are literally only two to three other properties in the area. It’s like having the whole beach area to yourself.
Aside from its relaxing vibe, one of the best things about this villa is its Hamptons-inspired design. The living room walls are coated in an inviting white, making it look even more spacious than it already is. It is gorgeously designed with tasteful furniture pieces that are the perfect mix of cozy and elegant. The floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide more than enough sunlight and a full view of the surrounding greenery.
There are currently two villas open for rent (2 more upcoming!)–a one-bedroom villa which can accommodate up to 8 people and a two-bedroom villa which can house up to 12 guests.
Each bedroom in both villas has two queen-sized beds and expansive bathrooms complete with a rain shower and walk-in-closets.
Outside the bedroom are the living and dining areas, together with a well-equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. You can bring your own food and ingredients to cook if you’ve got the time and effort to spare, but Landrina will also be offering their own home-cooked meals soon. We got to taste their mouthwatering ribs before it’s on the menu, and it is definitely something to watch out for–you can take my word for it.
Other amenities include their binge-worthy movie and TV series library, your all-time favorite board games, all-surround sound system and a fire pit for bonfire and s’mores.
While the villa itself is already more than enough for a relaxing getaway, each villa also comes with your very own private pool. Just slide open the glass doors and step into the pristine waters if you’re too lazy to walk to the beach (I know how it feels!).

It is no surprise the villas are thoughtfully-designed down to each detail. The partners behind this Bataan escape, Michelle and Roy Mascarinas and RG Roa, bring their 15 years of construction expertise and personal travel wish lists with their first hospitality venture. Michelle, who left her corporate job in Manila, shares with WhenInManila.com, that she has no regrets leaving the stressful and congested city life for the beach villas she manages full-time.

She shares that the idea of an upscale Hamptons-inspired villa was inspired by their own experiences in looking for weekend retreats that would give them the right amount of luxury and comfort, while still being accessible. Many hotels and BnB’s near Manila are now easily crowded because of everyone’s desire to get away from the stress and noise.
“Bataan offered a perfect workaround since it’s an easy drive. We saw an opportunity to create a breathtaking sanctuary curated with our own personal preferences, fit for guests in search for quality and comfort in their vacation home,” she adds.
Personally, my stay in the villa were some of the most stress-free and peaceful days of my season–and I’ve been spending most of my days in my home province! There was just something about being in an elegant yet homey house situated in the isolated vicinity of a beach where there were no large crowds, loud music, nor the sound of traffic.
We’re all in need of an indulgent getaway once in a while, and now you don’t even need a fat wallet or a couple of plane tickets–simply, head up north and see what we’ve been gushing about. Thanks to Landrina Escape, we now have an exclusive hideaway that makes you wish you never have to head back to the city.
