This Good Girl is Another COVID-19 Hero Working Hard to Comfort Frontliners

We’ve talked a lot about the different everyday heroes fighting against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) — doctors, nurses, police, deliverymen, and more — but we’ve yet to give acknowledgment to our furry frontliners.

PAWSsion Project, an advocacy aimed towards rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming stray animals, has rectified that. They recently posted on their Instagram the story of Wynn, a doggo braving the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic to bring comfort to health workers.

According to them, Wynn is a service dog working with Dr. Susan who is an ER doctor at the frontlines fighting COVID-19.

“Wynn goes to the ER each day and stays within the social workers’ inner office, so no one touches her but staff can wash up and have a moment with her,” they explain. “Susan says that Wynn has saved the doctors and nurses because they are very stressed and anxious, sometimes too busy to be scared.”

“If you ask me- they are both superheroes!” the animal rights group ends their post and we can’t help but agree!
