This Community Ride has Multiple Stopovers at McDonald’s Branches

If there’s one thing that would motivate me to get up early in the morning and bike for 23 kilometers, it would be the promise of McDonald’s. Well, this community ride promises that, and what’s more, there are multiple stopovers. I’m sold.

This community event is part of McDonald’s Ride the Arches, which held its Rizal leg on November 23, 2025, as part of this year’s National Bike Day celebration.

Close to 100 cyclists biked 23 kilometers around Rizal, stopping at multiple McDonald’s branches along the way. Rizal is a popular cycling destination for its scenic terrain.

The route ended at the Mambugan branch, which features a Bike & Dine amenity outside the store. These are bike racks found at select branches, where cyclists can park and eat their fave McDonald’s treats. McDonald’s also announced something exciting at Ride the Arches: they will be bringing Tour De McDo to more cities across the country.

Ride the Arches is part of McDonald’s goal of promoting sustainable active mobility and the growing cycling community in the Philippines

Bilang Siklista, the Philippines’ largest citizen-led bicycle count, revealed that 218,866 people were biking across 15 cities nationwide in 2025. While this number has gone down (due to possible factors such as rainfall, temporary roadworks, and uneven volunteer coverage), it’s still encouraging to see so many Filipinos practicing active mobility.

Ride the Arches is also for a good cause. The Rizal leg sold cute McDonald’s socks at stopovers, with every purchase supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities’ mission to build RMHC Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers.

The Rizal leg of Ride the Arches is part of Tour de McDo, which followed community rides in Baguio and Makati earlier this year. If you can’t wait for the next community ride, you can visit this page for ride routes that pass through McDonald’s branches that have the Bike & Dine amenity.
