These Hello Kitty rooms are so adorbs— here’s when they open

The COVID-19 health crisis is still here and the world isn’t open yet, but that doesn’t mean we can have wishful thinking of travel and staying in adorable rooms like these Hello Kitty rooms.

These Sanrio-inspired rooms are located at the newly opened Asakusa Tobu Hotel in Japan.

The hotel can be found just around the corner of the Sensoji Temple.

The hotel offers two Hello Kitty-inspired rooms, which are both designed in pastel pink, and of course, Hello Kitty graphics.

One room is called the Sakura Tennyo room. The room is painted with cherry-blossom pink shades. Hello Kitty transformed into a tennyo, a Buddhist fairy, who watches over those who sleep in this room. The Sakura Tennyo room has four beds to accommodate the guests and tatami mats for sitting— to complete the Japanese culture vibe.

The other room, called the Wa-Modern room, mixes Western aesthetics and Japanese style. The room is painted in maroon color. Hello Kitty can be seen in the room dressed on kimono. The darker shade gives off a more sophisticated vibe, which makes this room feel more ideal for adult guests that the Sakura Tennyo room.

The Hello Kitty rooms will be available for occupancy starting October 8. Reservations of the rooms will be opened starting August 24. Each room can cater to four guests.

There are only six (6) Hello Kitty rooms— three (3) are Sakura Tennyo and the other three (3) are Wa-Modern. Room rates aren’t available yet.

The rooms can be booked via the hotel’s website.
