This dog from Barangay 496, Sampaloc, Manila has become a frontliner. He is known to come along local officials who are distributing relief goods during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dave Fuentes shared a video and a photo of the dog named Ligaw on Facebook.
It can be seen from the video and photo that Ligaw sported a quarantine pass while accompanying his caretaker, barangay chairman Edmond Dela Paz. The chairman was heading the distribution of relief goods.
Fuentes posted additional updates about Ligaw. He said that the frontliner dog was able to deliver the P1,000 financial aid going from one house to another.
“Update. Nakapag-house to house na si Ligaw at si chairman para ibigay ‘yung 1k. Napalitan na din ang chain niya sa leeg. Stay safe everyone,” Fuentes said.
One commenter posted a photo of another dog who also sports a quarantine pass.
“Meron din pong frontliner na dog sa barangay namin.,” John Llantos said. “Meet Bruno. ?”
Another commenter shared a photo of their own dog frontliner. “Meet our frontliner dog tanod,” Joy Aragon-Parangan said.
These dogs are probably putting their lives on the line to bring smiles to everyone during this crisis. Pretty sure it works. ๐
