There's Going to be a Rocko's Modern Life Movie

People who grew up in the ’90s are brimming with nostalgia. Following news that there’s going to be new movies for Hey Arnold! and Legends of the Hidden Temple, it was recently announced that there’s going to be a Rocko’s Modern Life movie, too!

There’s no word what it will be about or when it will air, but it will be a TV movie and will follow the life of Rocko, a wallaby who works in a comic store in a fictional town called O-Town. There, he interacts with his boss Mr. Smitty, his neighbors the Bigheads, and his friends Heffer Wolfe, Filburt, and his dog Spunky.

Show creator Joe Murray will return as the executive producer and director of the TV movie.

Rocko’s Modern Life originally aired on Nickelodeon from 1993 to 1996, and became a hit because of its adult humor featuring innuendos and double entendres. It was also critically praised, with IGN calling it a “sophisticated, intelligent brand of children’s programming.” When the show was cancelled, many of the staff helped build SpongeBob SquarePants.
