There’s a New Marvel Series and It’s Called “New Warriors”

Marvel New Warriors

The Marvel world is expanding and there’s one new title that’s set to come out on the small screen: New Warriors. Marvel fans will know the group as a band of young superheroes who are battling heroes while dealing with teenage issues.

Three months after it was announced, the cast has already been revealed: Milana Vayntrub from This is Us will be playing Squirrel Girl, Derek Theler of Baby Daddy will be playing Mister Immortal, and they will be joined by Jeremy Tardy as Night Thrasher, Calum Worthy as Speedball, Matthew Moy as Microbe, and Kate Comer as Debrii.

The New Warriors first appeared in The Mighty Thor #411, released in December 1989. The original team had a run of 75 comics, where they battled foes like the second Sphinx and the Folding Circle. They eventually had four other volumes.

The series was given a straight to series order with 10 episodes, which will air sometime next year on Freeform.

New Warriors will not be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
