“The World of the Married” Philippine Remake Official Cast

“The World of the Married” is the South Korean remake of BBC Studios’ “Doctor Foster” and Korea’s highest-rated cable-TV drama. In case you have not seen any of the two, the story revolves around a married couple whose family is rocked by the affair of her husband. As avid K-drama fans, the series also became popular with Filipinos. It was even aired on ABS-CBN last year.

Today, the media giant just revealed the official cast of its upcoming Philippine remake titled “The Broken Marriage Vow” with Jodi Sta. Maria taking the lead. She will be playing Dr. Jill Ilustre (originally Dr. Gemma Foster) and her husband David Ilustre (originally Simon Foster) will be played by Zanjoe Marudo. Their son, Gio Ilustre (originally Tom Foster), will be played by Zaijan Jaranilla and finally, the mistress, Lexy Lucero (originally Kate Parks), will be portrayed by Sue Ramirez.

“The Broken Marriage Vow” will be directed by Concepcion Macatuno. It will be the sixth global adaptation of the BBC hit following its versions in France, Russia, Turkey, India, and South Korea.
