The Walkman is making a comeback and it’s bringing with it a lot of nostalgia

Sony is bringing back the iconic Walkman.

However, before you get too excited, this isn’t the same Walkman that played cassette tapes in our childhood days. It may look like the classic music player but this 40th-anniversary edition will arrive with a high-resolution touchscreen display that can stream music over Wi-Fi using an app.

Still, this device will have a special logo on the back and a case that looks exactly like the original TPS-L2 Walkman.

Although not a lot of people are using a music player because we already have smartphones to do that task for us, the return of the Walkman might be perfect for people who want a bit of a throwback.

Check out the video below that will take you to a trip down memory lane with the Walkman.

The Walkman will be available in Europe on November 2019. It might make its way to the US after that. However, no word yet if it will reach Philippine shores so we just have to stay tuned for that.
