Every year, the UP Junior Marketing Association holds a Major Marketing Event (MME) with the objective to promote the importance of marketing within the youth. This year’s UP JMA MME presents MarkEd: Marketing to Move the Nation Forward, a two-day summit that aims to provide students with practical marketing skills and show them how this can be used as a powerful tool to move businesses, industries, and nations forward.
This event aims to educate the youth with limited marketing background, particularly senior high school and fresh undergraduate students across Metro Manila. The summit will feature a series of lectures and workshops that will provide them with practical marketing hacks and frameworks, and will then culminate with a marketing competition that still promotes an advocacy, much like previous MMEs.
This year’s MME competition will focus on tourism as it challenges students to find innovative new ways to market underrated tourist spots in the Philippines. Ultimately, it aims to show them how marketing can improve communities and industries by creating a marketing plan that will boost livelihood and tourism in an underserved community.
