The Script Freedom Child Tour Manila: A Musical Experience Like No Other

‘Find a dream, make it real.’

It slowly went dark and the show was illuminated with the lights coming from the LED screen. It showed different people sharing what freedom means to them. Based on The Script’s latest album called ‘Freedom Child’, fans shared their own definition of freedom. Everything went black, the crowd started srcreaming, and there they were: The Script right in front of us and about to rock their hearts out for their Filipino fans.

They performed ‘Paint the Town Green’ as their third song, which gained momentum and set the bar for what was in store for the night. It was actually their opening song during their last visit here in Manila.

The group performed their greatest hits and songs from their new album ‘Freedom Child’.

I loved the live performance of ‘Arms Open’ where they explained how everyone should be accepted for who they are, no matter what gender, color or shape.

The best part of the night was when Danny started playing his piano with the songs we grow up with – the songs which personally helped me through the toughest times of my life.

Everyone sang along to The Script classics like ‘Nothing’, ‘Breakeven’ and ‘Man Who Can’t Be Moved’.

Danny also went to different parts of the arena to sing along with his fans. He went to the middle part of the arena and sang a few songs along with the crowd including ‘Never Seen Anything “Quite Like You” which he explained is the feeling that you get when you see the person you love.
