Warner Bros. announced that they have found the villain that will be wreaking havoc in the next Batman film. It’s going to be The Riddler and he will be played by Paul Dano.
Dano is known for his roles in 12 Years a Slave, Looper, Swiss Army Man, and Okja.

He will be joining Robert Pattinson as Batman and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman.
The Riddler is one of the supervillains in Batman’s rogues gallery. He is a criminal mastermind that uses riddles and puzzles, leaving them as clues for the police to solve. He has been portrayed several times in TV shows, like by John Glover in Batman: The Animated Series, Robert Englund in The Batman, Frank Gorshin and John Astin in Batman, and Cory Michael Smith in Gotham. He was voiced by Wally Wingert in the Batman: Arkham video game and portrayed by Jim Carrey in the Batman Forever film.
IGN has ranked The Riddler as the 59th Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time.
The Batman will premiere on June 25, 2021.
