The PiggyBank Movement lends a hand to help the victims of Yolanda
The PiggyBank Movement is an initiative of a group of concerned Filipinos based in Manila that will help the victims of Yolanda in Visayas and nearby provinces.
The initial thought is that it may be hard to ask for a big sum of money from people, while a P10 donation won’t hurt anybody’s pocket. However, when combined, this donation could result in a hefty and helpful sum in the end.
The PiggyBank Movement will direct the money that it collects to JCI Cebu through their president Ken Ngo.
So far, JCI Cebu has agreed to concentrate their relief efforts in the following areas:
CEBU: Bogo, Daanbantayan, Bantayan
As of this moment, The Piggy Bank Movement has partnered with:
– DLSU (through LSDC members), DLSU-STC, ADMU, UP-M and UP-D, so you are sure to see students holding these piggy banks;
– Orange Whisk Restaurant and Patisserie, which will donate 50% of the sales from their Chewy Buns and will have the PiggyBank in their establishment;
– Blogapalooza 2013 held at SM Aura Convention Center on November 16;
– GREASE THE MUSICAL on November 22 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza.
If you have an establishment or event that is willing to have a PiggyBank, please contact Daphne Chu through her e-mail address email@example.com or Mariane Detera through her e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org
