The Philippine Premiere of “Holy Stokes!” Skateboarding Movie

Volcom, the brand synonymous with skateboarding and other board sports, presents the Philippine premier of Holy Stokes! A skateboarding movie nearly two years in the making, featuring a dynamic cast of skateboarders ranging from seasoned pros to rising stars rockin’ and rollin’ across the globe. Featuring board riders Arto Saari, CJ Collins, Collin Provost, Dane Burman, David Gonzalez, Dustin Dollin, Grant Taylor, Jackson Pilz, Louie Lopez, Omar Hassan, Rune Glifberg, and Ryan Sheckler among others.

Filmed at locations around the world, including the United States, Canada, London, Paris, Brazil, Barcelona, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and even here in Manila, Philippines, the movie is the first full-length skate film from Veeco Productions. It was shot entirely in 4K ultra high-definition and directed by skate-film director Russell Houghten.

The movie premier was held at Cinema 4 of Century City Mall in Makati last May 30th, 2016 with Volcom pros Grant Taylor, Collin Provost, Dane Burman, and Jackson Pilz flying in for the screening. The after-party was held at 12 Monkeys Pub and Music Hall featuring the blues rock driven trio Bleu Rascals and alterna-rock group Sandwich with openers Mathe Band and Solo El Fuerte.
