The LTO Is Moving Impounded Vehicles To Tarlac

Starting August 8, all impounded vehicles including those with pending cases will be transferred to an LTO-owned lot in San Isidro, Tarlac City according to local reports.

Currently, impounded vehicles are found at the LTO Quezon City compound. Those who do not claim their vehicles by next week will have to travel to Tarlac to retrive them.

As the impounded vehicles take up most available parking spaces in the LTO compound and causes traffic congestion along East Avenue, the move to Tarlac was deemed necessary, according to LTO Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante.

Aside from shouldering the moving costs, motorists with impounded cars will also need to pay the impounding fee of ₱100 and a daily storage fee of ₱15. Those vehicles that are unclaimed will be auctioned off after six months.
