XDX, the premiere alumni dance group of Xavier School, was founded in 2009. Since then, this group has been invited to perform in a variety of events and dance competitions around Metro Manila. In 2011, XDX presented The Homecoming as an initiative to continue an undying passion for dancing, inevitably creating an event of value. It was followed by The Homecoming 2 last 2013. Year after year, XDX grows through its ever-wider alumni base, and once again, the XDX dance company has decided to take their drive and passion for dance one step further by continuing the tradition of spearheading the household exhibition concert.
The Homecoming is the collective effort of alumni dancers from high schools such as the Ateneo De Manila High School, Poveda, Mirriam College, Claret School of Quezon City, Collegio De San Agustin, La Salle Greenhills, St. Paul Pasig, and many more. The overall event will headed by Xavier School’s XDX. This exhibition concert aims to move away from archetypal variety shows and dance concerts, and instead emphasize the spirit of camaraderie that has been formed among the different dance companies. The Homecoming will also serve as a homecoming experience for these alumni dance companies after having moved on to different colleges. With the variety of schools participating in this event, we expect a crowd of no less than one 1000 patrons coming to support their respective alma maters and peers.
Last 2013, we had a full seating capacity in the Henry Lee Irwin Theater (1,130). The Homecoming 3 will be held in Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo De Manila University on October 7, 2016, from 7PM onwards. See you there!
