Fans of the Harry Potter universe, we have great news for you: the first trailer of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel, subtitled The Crimes of Grindelwald, is here and you can watch it below!
In the trailer, we see Jude Law as a young Albus Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as a young Gellert Grindelwald. We also see Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, the star of the first Fantastic Beasts film.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them starred Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, and Colin Farrell. It was directed by David Yates, who directed the last four Harry Potter films. It premiered in November 2016 and was the first of a trilogy. It has become so successful that Rotten Tomatoes said, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them draws on Harry Potter‘s rich mythology to deliver a spinoff that dazzles with franchise-building magic all its own.” It later went on to win an Academy Award for Best Costume Design.
The Crimes of Grindelwald is expected to premiere on November 16, 2018.
