The First Official Trailer of Stephen King’s “It” is Out and it’s Terrifying

For those who are afraid of clowns, Stephen King’s novel It should be avoided at all costs. But it’s hard to avoid when it keeps showing up in pop culture.

The novel came out in 1986. A TV miniseries starring Tim Curry as the creepy clown Pennywise came out in 1990.

And now, there’s a remake coming out this year. When will this madness end?

The first official trailer was released and it reminds those who are afraid of clowns why they’re scared.

It tells the story of a group of children terrorized by a clown who exploits the fears and phobias of its victims. The book is one of King’s most recognizable works, with Publishers Weekly announcing it was the bestselling book of 1986. The clown Pennywise was also recognized as one of the scariest clowns in pop culture.

The 2017 adaptation will have Bill Skarsgård portraying the evil clown.

It will premiere on September 8, 2017.
