Cult-classic horror film, The Exorcist, is reportedly getting a remake and it might be coming out much sooner than you think.
The Exorcist follows the story of the demonic possession of a 12-year-old girl named Linda Blair and her mother’s attempt to rescue her through an exorcism conducted by two priests. It premiered in 1973 and went on to be among the greatest horror movies of all time.
According to Deadline, the reboot is currently in the works by Morgan Creek Entertainment with a planned theatrical release in 2021.
Details are scarce and it’s still not confirmed if we really will be getting a modern take of the iconic film. We’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for future announcements.
