The Charm In Mesclun Bistro

Have you ever tasted dishes made with guava? I have, and it really didn’t suit my tastebuds. But when we were served Guava Pork Adobo, that was it – it totally changed how I looked at dishes cooked with it. The meat was soft, I could hardly taste the guava but there definitely was an enjoyable bite to it.

The Sarangani Bay Apahap is something I’d recommend to those who love fish. It’s baked with French beans in ginger, sesame and soy sauce. From the way it was served to us, unravelled smoking with a light and gingery aroma made us go ‘wow’. How fresh can you get with that? Taking a bite into its warm lightness was gratifying.

And to top everything off we tasted strawberry and chocolate gelato. Fruity for the strawberry and rich for the chocolate. As with the bread, their gelato is homemade too. And there a lot of Arce history to back up the appeal of their gelato.

Dishes range from P200+ to P500+, there were 4 of us and having a sample of each was enough to fill our gastronomic search for the new & filling. Chef Katrina has done a great job with Mesclun Bistro & we’re more than happy to bring friends over here again. I think you should do too.
