The Cast of Wes Anderson’s New Film Sure is Star-Studded!

Wes Anderson Isle of Dogs

Wes Anderson is known for working with a small group of trusted actors in his films. Through the years, he has worked with names like Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, and more. The same goes for his new film Isle of Dogs, which has an impressive cast of big names in Hollywood.

The Hollywood actors appearing in the film are Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Greta Gerwig, Frances McDormand, Courtney B. Vance, Fisher Stevens, Harvey Keitel, Koyu Rankin, Liev Schreiber, Bob Balaban, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, F. Murray Abraham, and Frank Wood.

And since the film is set in Japan, there are some Japanese names in the mix, too, like Kunichi Nomura, Mari Natsuki, Akira Ito, Akira Takayama, Yojiro Noda, and Yoko Ono.

Isle of Dogs tells the story of a young boy searching for his dog. It will be the director’s second animated feature following Fantastic Mr. Fox in 2009.

The film is in partnership with a crowdfunding platform to raise funds for Martin Scorsese’s Film Foundation, which protects and restores films. Fans can pay $10 to win prizes, including a set visit to the shooting of the movie.

Isle of Dogs will be released in 2018.
