The Cast of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” Reunited and It Was Magical

One of the most magical shows of the ‘9os was Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which followed the adventures of Sabrina Spellman, a teenager who balances her secret life as a witch with school, homework, and her love life. It starred Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina and ran for seven seasons from 1996 to 2003.

Last weekend, the cast reunited for LA Comic Con and it was a nostalgic affair. The actors present were Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina Spellman), Nick Bakay (the voice of Salem Saberhagen), Caroline Rhea (Hilda Spellman), Beth Broderick (Zelda Spellman), Nate Richert (Harvey Kinkle), Alimi Ballard (the Quizmaster), David Lascher (Josh Blackhart), Soleil Moon Frye (Roxie King), and Elisa Donovan (Morgan Cavanaugh).

Fans of the show will be pleased to hear that the show will get a reboot, which will be developed by CW (also the same studio that developed Riverdale) and will be based on “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” story arc. Like Riverdale, it will be a darker spin on the beloved comic strip.

According to Hart, “I think our show was about magic and family, and I think the new one — it sounds like, I have no idea — but the new one is going to be more about witchcraft, dark stuff. I think it sounds more Buffy the Vampire Slayer than it does Sabrina, so I think it will appeal to a different kind of audience and be a totally different show.”

There’s no word yet on the cast and the release date.
