Early this month, I had the privilege to meet Metro Manila’s BEST HOME COOKS and taste their specialties. Choosing the Top 10 was super difficult as their dishes all deserve a standing ovation. Days before the finals, I felt so excited to know who will be the big winner in the final cook off!

Here’s a video I made showing the highlights of that event!

Best Pinoy Street Food SM Hypermarket 1 Congratulations to Mr. Jose Nestor Guevara III from Las Pinas for being the big winner that day!

As someone who is passionate about promoting Filipino food to the world, I was personally impressed with the whole event, that’s why I devoted a lot of time and effort in promoting it. It is something which I find worthy of my time and talents. Meeting and being friends with the finalists was such a big honor for me. SM Hypermarket really did so well not only in promoting our very own Pinoy Street Food, but also in giving our local home cooks a chance to  shine and show their culinary talents to the public. I do hope SM Hypermarket will come up with more contests like this! So excited and couldn’t wait to be a part of their events next year!

Again, CONGRATULATIONS to all the FINALISTS, to the winner Mr. Jose Nestor Guevara III and to the people from SM Hypermarket like Ms. Frances Corsiga, Oliver Guevara, June Dungate, Tox Mateo,  the kalog camera crew Rommel Alde, Marlon etc and to our chefs, Chef Hasset Go and Chef Boy Logro for organizing such a wondrous and inspiring event!
